The Ultimate Small Game Pistol
The SGP-22 is a full size, fixed barrel, semi-automatic, blow-back action pistol, chambered in 22 long rifle. It is designed to be the ultimate pistol for small game hunting, and it has several features that set it apart from other pistols in the class:
Integral Telescopic Sight
The integral telescopic sight is machined into the frame of the gun. This design gives more rigid mounting and lower parallax error, and also allows this pistol to be easily and comfortably holstered while moving through rough territory. It's a double magnification, extended eye relief design, using 4 lenses and a hand wound platinum wire reticle. Each lens is a laser industry anti-reflection coated achromatic doublet. The scope cavity is purged with dry nitrogen to prevent internal fogging and the rear lens twist adjusts to focus for the individual user's eye.
High Capacity Magazine
The SGP-22 has a 20-round magazine, with two separated 10-round stacks. This design allows the magazine to carry twice the ammunition of other pistols in this class, which is ideal for hunts where you are likely to take several animals in one outing. Buttons on either side of the frame select between the magazine columns.
Ambidextrous Striker Block Safety
On most firearms, the safety acts by blocking the sear from moving. However, if the sear fails by eroding or cracking, guns can fire without pulling the trigger. The safety on the SGP-22 is ambidextrous, located on the back of the bolt, and works by blocking the striker itself, rather than the sear, in order to protect against the possibility of sear failure.
Flush Mount Threaded Barrel
The SGP-22 has a threaded barrel adapter, so if you have the permits, you can easily mount an aftermarket suppressor for whisper quiet hunting.
